Alan Rogers Review
This riverside site is in a tranquil location within easy walking distance of the small village. Just off the A84 motorway it is within easy driving distance of Cherbourg or Caen. A warden lives on site. The 60 numbered pitches are on grass, some separated by small hedges, with 10A electricity available to all (long leads may be needed). Activities either on-site or at the adjacent Base Plein Air include tennis, minigolf, volleyball, pétanque, canoe/kayak, pedalo and bicycle hire, walking and fishing. Swimming is not permitted and the river is well fenced with access gates for anglers.
You can cycle or walk along the Chemin de Halage (towpath) alongside the River Vire all the way to Carentan (65 km). Reception can also provide maps of local walks and cycle routes.
A large, modern building houses all the facilities, including some washbasins in cubicles and a suite for disabled campers. First floor room with dining tables for campers, table tennis and other games (ask the warden). There is a lift from the ground floor. Adventure style playground (5-12 yrs). River fishing.
