Alan Rogers Review
La Chaise-Dieu is an interesting old town situated in a regional park. This very attractive, spacious municipal site is 1.5 km. north of the town, situated in pleasant countryside next to woodland and a lake with public footpaths adjacent. The site provides 100 large, grassy pitches, some sloping, arranged naturally amongst a wide variety of mature trees. Sixty pitches have electricity (10A). All is well tended and rather park-like. Access is easy for large units but levelling blocks will be needed.
Two modern sanitary blocks have washbasins in cubicles, toilets (Turkish style for men) and plenty of hot water; finding a cold water tap is a different matter – try the laundry sink. Only one block is open in low season. Facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machine. Fridge and ice packs from reception. Fresh bread and milk delivered daily. Large play area.
