This delightful, inexpensive riverside site is conveniently located just a short walk from the town and its shops and services. The 73 individual, level and grassy pitches are large, divided by hedges and all have electricity (5A). Some of the pitches including those along the river’s edge may require a longer cable. An excellent activity area provides swings and other play equipment, boules pitches, tennis, netball, and a fitness trail. Those intending to stay longer than one night require a barrier card (refundable deposit). Reception opens 10.00-12.00 and 16.00-20.00 in May, June and September, 09.00-12.00 and 15.00-20.00 in July and August. Barrier opens at 07.00.

Facilities

The central sanitary unit is accessed by a flight of steps although there is a long and fairly steep ramp to reach the accessible facilities. Facilities include some washbasins in cubicles and spacious showers. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Bread and croissants to order. Activity area. River fishing. Room for campers’ use (July/Aug). Double axle caravans are not accepted.

Location

Beaumont is half way between Alençon and Le Mans on the N138. Turn east on D26 in town centre and follow signs to site.
