Alan Rogers Review
Meistershof is an interesting site with 157 pitches, all for tourers. Developed on a former farm, the buildings have retained their original style, which gives the site a rustic look and feel. This, and the fact that the site is partly car free, ensures a relaxing holiday in beautiful, natural surroundings. The numbered pitches are all level and arranged on grassy fields with paved access lanes. They are separated by a variety of hedges and have shade from mature trees, and 10A electricity. There are 65 pitches with electricity, water and drainage; some have hardstandings or private sanitary facilities.
The terrain looks very well cared for and is close to the Dwingelderveld National Park where there are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. The owners of this well kept site are keen to preserve nature and all electricity comes from green sources. They organise excursions with a guide through the nature reserve. For children, a covered playground is to the front of the site and some fields have covered picnic areas.
New, stylish toilet block at the centre of the site with superb facilities. Toilets, washbasins (open style and in cabins) and controllable hot showers (charged). Toilets andwashbasins for children. Facilities for disabled visitors. Family shower room. Baby room. Laundry. Shop for basics. Snack bar. Playing field. Playground and covered play area. Minigolf. Boules. Excursions into Dwingelderveld. WiFi (charged).
