Alan Rogers Review
This is a small but spacious, steeply terraced and rural site in a lesser known area of the northern Ardèche. Immaculately kept, it is run by the enthusiastic and friendly Zeyer family (English is spoken). The level, grassy pitches are very large, well spaced and most have good views. There are 63 pitches 37 for touring, some on shady terraces with shrubs and trees and others being more open and sunny. All have 3/6A electricity connections, some have individual tap and drain. Due to the very steep site roads, this site is unsuitable for large outfits or for those with walking difficulties.
Caravans and trailers are taken by tractor from the entrance onto the pitches. There is a large range of marked walks and cycle routes, some starting from the site.
Three very clean, modern toilet blocks offer excellent facilities, including washbasins in cabins, showers and toilets with washbasins, and two special facilities for children. Facilities for disabled visitors in one block (but see above). Bar/restaurant offering basic menu and takeaway. Swimming pool and two pools for children (heated May-mid Sept). Room with TV, WiFi and board/card games. Very large play area and playground alongside a small stream. Badminton. Minigolf. Programme of family entertainment (no discos). Only gas barbecues permitted. Two central barbecue units.

From A7 south of Lyon take exit 12, Chanas (from north) or exit 13, Tain l’Hermitage (from south). Cross River Rhône and take N86 to Sarras. In town follow D6 (St Jeure). Follow winding road up hill for 8 km. Turn right just before quarry and site is 4 km. along narrow lane. Park at entrance and ring for tractor assistance – caravans are sited for you due to steep road.
