Alan Rogers Review

L’Eté Indien is located near the resort of Wimereux, a little to the north of Boulogne. It offers a quiet and tranquil environment in which to enjoy your holiday – despite some occasional (every 30 mins) train noise during the day. Of the 170 pitches, 44 for tourers vary in size, are well marked and are on a terraced incline furthest from the site entrance and pool complex and 41 have electrical connections (10/16A). In keeping with its Wild West theme, there is a small village of eight Indian teepees to rent, as well as 36 conventional mobile homes and chalets.

Other amenities include a fishing pond and a snack bar, Le Jardin de I’Eté Indien. The site lies at the heart of the Côte d’Opale, which boasts over 130 km. of coastline. Wimereux is an old-fashioned resort with plenty of shops and restaurants, and is renowned as a centre for kite surfing and speed sailing. This is an ideal stopover for Calais, Dunkerque or Boulogne.

Two toilet blocks include facilities for babies and disabled visitors. Laundry. Motorcaravan services. Small shop. Bar, snack bar and takeaway, swimming pool, paddling pool (all 1/5-30/9). Play area with trampoline. Boules. Games room. Internet access and WiFi. Fishing pond.

From the A16 take exit 32 (Wimereux) and follow signs to Wimereux (D96 and D940). After 1.5 km. turn right. Site is well signed from here and is located on the left, close to a riding centre. Approach is rather narrow, with speed ramps and is poorly surfaced.
