This is a small, quiet site with 158 touring pitches, located next to the Lac du la Raho, and it is a very popular destination with country lovers and those seeking the chance to enjoy the rural location. With the lake on one side, the distant mountains climbing up to the sky on the other, and with no busy roads nearby, this really is a relaxing spot. The level, grassy pitches are well screened from each other by mature hedging and colourful plants, and many enjoy views directly over the lake and to the small town of Villeneuve de la Raho.

You can walk round the lakes and there is a large pathway between the two largest lakes that takes you into town. Alternatively, just sit and watch the multitude of wildlife on the smallest lake which is a bird sanctuary.

Facilities

Six toilet blocks run along the centre of the site and are an adequate provision. Traditional in style, some cubicles open directly to the outside. No special facilities for children. Basic accessible facilities in each block, Small shop for basics. Snack bar and takeaway. Small restaurant with simple menu and terrace. Play area.

Location

Leave A9 at exit 42 and head towards Porte d’Espagne. Join the N9 for Boulou and after Auchan shopping centre follow signs for Villeneuve de la Raho. Site and lake are signed before and in the town itself.
