Alan Rogers Review
Les Pinasses is an orderly, well run family site with a small outdoor swimming pool. Traditional in style, the site is long and narrow with pitches on two levels. However the site is fronted by a fairly busy road and a railway track runs immediately behind it, and this is quite close to some pitches. There are around 125 grassy, individual, hedged pitches of varying sizes, all with 4/6A electricity under trees plus 14 units to rent. There are also a number of seasonal units on site. The site organises a little low key animation in July and August. Due to the narrow entrance road and entry to the pitches, it is only suitable for medium and smaller units.
The nearby towns of Epinal and Saint Die-des-Vosges are both well worth a visit. a 32 km. drive will bring you to the top of the Col de la Schlucht, a pass which is 1300 m. above sea level and provides a wonderful introduction to these beautiful mountains.
Four blocks of varying styles, upgraded at different times, include a mix of seated and Turkish style toilets, some washbasins in cubicles are small and narrow. Facilities for disabled campers at one block only (ramped entrance). Laundry facilities. Small shop, bar and restaurant (all July/Aug). Swimming and paddling pools (1/6-15/9). Playground. TV room. Boules. Minigolf. Tennis. Fishing pond. American RVs not accepted.
