Les Oyats is a large site extending over 17 hectares of forest. The Atlantic is just 500 m. away and can clearly be heard through the trees. This is a large, well equipped site with a large swimming pool and other sports amenities including tennis and volleyball. Pitches are shaded by the towering pine trees and are clustered around five modern wash blocks. There are 360 touring pitches, all of which have electrical connections. A further 140 pitches are occupied by mobile homes and chalets to rent.

This is a lively site in high season with a daily children’s club and regular evening entertainment including a weekly open air cinema. The site’s tourist office has a wealth of information about activities in the region. These include quad biking, riding or maybe even Basque pelota! The region also offers some of the best conditions for surfing in Europe, and the site runs a surf school in the high season.

Location

Approaching from Bordeaux, take the A63 towards Bayonne. Leave at exit 10 and follow signs to Soustons. At Soustons, follow signs to Capbreton using the D652, then the D79 for 5km. The site is on the left on the road leading to the Plage des Casernes.
