Marseillan-Plage is a small, busy resort east of Cap d’Agde and it enjoys a super position immediately beside a long, gently shelving sandy beach. Les Méditerranées is made up of two sites – Nouvelle Floride beside the beach and Charlemagne across the road, both with super pool complexes. Both are good quality sites set under tall trees with neat hedges separating around 500 pitches. There are 230 for touring units on sandy soil, all with water and 6A electricity. The pitches nearer the sea have less shade. Amenities and facilities are generally of excellent quality and include a smart bar area overlooking the beach with a raised stage for entertainment.
This is a well run, family owned ‘village’ with lots to offer. Nouvelle Floride is the more active site, Charlemagne is the quieter, more peaceful choice. There is an extensive programme of entertainment and activities catering for all ages and good heated pool complexes complete with water slides and whirlpools. However, the main attraction for most will almost certainly be the direct access to a fine beach (no dogs allowed in high season). The gates on the beach entrance are locked at 21.00 for security. Alongside the play area is a multi-purpose ball court and fitness centre, also on sand with robust machines with the idea of keeping Mum and Dad fit whilst still keeping an eye on the children. There is plenty to see in the area with Sète and Cap d’Agde nearby.
