Les Medes is different from some of the ‘all singing, all dancing’ sites so popular along this coast. The friendly family of Pla-Coll are rightly proud of their innovative and award-winning site, which they have owned for almost 30 years. With just 170 pitches, the site is small enough for the owners and their staff to know their visitors, some of whom have been coming for many years. The top class facilities, along with the personal attention and activities available, make this a year-round home in the sun. The level, grassy pitches range in size from 70-80 sq.m. and are shaded. All have electricity (5/10A) and 155 also have water and drainage.

An inviting children’s pool with fountains is next to the attractively shaped pool ringed by palms. This is part of an interestingly landscaped area, including an outdoor chess board, producing a relaxing environment in front of the old Catalan farmhouse buildings. The open-air dance floor has music twice weekly (in season). A heated indoor pool with sauna and solarium and with good accessible facilities it is a great option out of high season. Set back from busy L’Estartit itself (2 km), it is 800 m. to the nearest beach, and a little road train runs from near the site (June-Sept) to the town.

Two modern spacious sanitary blocks can be heated and are extremely well maintained. Washbasins in cabins, top class accessible facilities. Baby baths. Washing machines and dryer. Dog bathing room. Motorhome services. Shop. Bar with snacks and pizza (all year). Good value restaurant (1/4-31/10). Swimming and paddling pools (1/5-15/9). Indoor pool with sauna, solarium and massage (15/9-15/6). Play area. TV room. Entertainment, activities and excursions (July/Aug). Diving activities. Multisports area. Boules. Bicycle hire and self-repair shop. Internet access and WiFi. Torches are useful. Dogs are not accepted in July/Aug.

Directions to Camping les Medes

Site is signed from the main Torroella de Montgri-L’Estartit road GE641. Turn right after Camping Castel Montgri, at Joc’s hamburger/pizzeria and follow signs.
