Alan Rogers Review of Camping les Iles
This Alpine site is approached by a lakeside road with mountains to the left and with stunning views of Mont Blanc straight ahead. Set in an area with oak trees giving shade, there are 253 pitches (196 for tourers, most with 10A electricity), which are divided by 1.2 m. high beech hedges. A small, high season takeaway is located close to the play area allowing relaxed child supervision. An electric railway next to the site and a distant motorway may cause some noise. This is a good base for walking and cycling, and the municipal watersports area in which the site is set offers a range of water-based activities as well as an adventure course set amongst the trees around the lake.
Facilities at Camping les Iles
Three toilet blocks, screened by hedges, are not modern but are acceptable and include hot showers and an accessible WC/shower . Laundry facilities. A new bar/restaurant. Take away food, Shop, Games room, Table tennis, Kids club and entertainment (high season) Kayaking on lake, Pets allowed, Chalets to rent. WiFi (charged).

Site is west of Passy. From the A40 take exit 21 (Chamonix) and drive through Passy and take the D199, first right over level crossing. Site is at end of road behind municipal car park (signed).
