Alan Rogers Review
Les Genêts d’Or is situated where the two regions of the Cévennes and the Ardèche meet. The site is in woodland on the banks of the River Cèze, surrounded by forested hills and vineyards. The site has its own pebble river beach and, if you prefer, a good swimming pool. There are 105 pitches (95 for touring), all with 3-10A electricity and plenty of shade. Dutch and English are spoken in reception. The Cèze offers good fishing and the hilly countryside is ideal for mountain biking or walking.
The country town of Bagnols-sur-Cèze is a lively local market centre with good shopping for local farm products. Trips to the caves of Saint Marcel d’Ardèche or Ardèche gorges are possible excursions.
