In the Languedoc Roussillon region of the Pyrénées Orientales, Camping les Albères lies between the Pyrenees mountains and the Mediterranean sea at the foot of the Massif des Albères. There are 105 touring pitches, 92 with electricity (16A) and three also with water, located in a grove of oak trees and mimosa, together with a wide range of mobile homes, chalets and tents to rent. The swimming and paddling pool area has expansive views of the Pyrenees and the site is very well situated for exploring both coastal and inland areas. The well-known resorts of Collioure and Argelès on the coast and Céret, with its annual spring cherry festival, are nearby.
The village of Laroque des Albères is a short walk away and the Massif des Albères, which is mainly forested, is an area of Mediterranean vegetation, historic sites and well marked walking trails for all abilities. The GR10 trail that runs from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, passes close by. The site organises hiking, riding, cycling and mountain biking, and a short drive away is the coast with its beautiful, long sandy beaches, small bays and a rocky coastline. The nearby A9 motorway takes you north to the city of Perpignan and south to Spain.
