Alan Rogers Review
This very large and lively site with over 1,000 pitches is situated next to the beach at the northern end of Argelès. Set back from the main road, traffic noise is not a problem. Eleven hectares give the site a spacious feeling, with many trees offer differing degrees of shade on the flat, level pitches (6A electricity connections). Mobile homes are located at one end of the site in their own area and not mixed with touring pitches. Large, good quality tents can be booked for a true ‘under canvas’ holiday. The site is popular with young people and couples looking for a lively holiday beside a huge beach.
Opportunities for watersports and paragliding are just 100 m. away on the beach and can be booked at reception. A large shopping and relaxation area is in the middle of the site, providing a restaurant, bar and takeaway services, as well as a games area where evening entertainment and shows are staged in high season.
Five toilet blocks in traditional style with modern fittings serve the site, Numbers may not be adequate when the site is full. Just one baby bathroom and one cubicle for disabled visitors. Shops selling newspapers and magazines, greengroceries and deli items. Restaurant, bar and takeaway. No swimming pools, but direct beach access (lifeguard in July/Aug). Tennis. Pétanque. Play area. Miniclub (6-12 yrs).
