Alan Rogers Review

This is a gem of a site run by a very friendly French family. Developed over a period of 30 years, it is situated in the valley of the River Rhône surrounded by wooded hills and terraces of vines. Everything here is neat and tidy and maintained to a high standard. There are 73 grassy, fairly level pitches separated by low fences, flowering shrubs and hedges and small trees give limited shade. All the 66 pitches used for touring units have good access and 10A electricity but long leads are advised. The site is ideal for couples and families with pre-teenage children.

Two excellent, modern toilet blocks are fully equipped. Facilities for young children and campers with disabilities. Washing machine. Small bar. TV room. Basic groceries in reception. Bread to order (all season). Swimming and paddling pools with sunbathing terrace (15/5-10/9). Very good play area adjacent to bar. Large playing field with shaded area for picnics. Small river for paddling. Children’s club (4-8 yrs, high season). WiFi and internet point. Only gas barbecues permitted.

Leave autoroute A7 at exit 13 westwards to Tournon-sur-Rhône. Cross the River Rhône and turn right on D86 to St Jean-de-Muzols. At the entrance to the village, after passing over the railway bridge, turn immediately left onto the D238 for 3 km. (Gorges du Daux).
