Alan Rogers Review
A pleasant little site in the forested mountains above Montreux and Vevey on Lac Leman (Lake Geneva). Le Bivouac has its own small swimming pool and children’s pool. Most of the places here are taken by seasonal caravans (130) interspersed with about 18 pitches for touring units and 12 for small tents. Electrical connections (10A) are available and there are five water points. Due to access difficulties, the site is not open to tourers in winter. The active can take mountain walks in the area or set off to explore Montreux and the lake. Others will enjoy the peace and quiet of this green and rustic hideaway.
M. Fivaz, the owner, speaks excellent English and is only too happy to suggest local activities. The shop (open July and August) and bar are in the ‘relaxing room’ along with an Internet corner, TV, table football and a terrace which overlooks the pool. A 10% discount is given when showing an Alan Rogers guide and special offers apply in low season.
