With direct access to a beach and to a small nature reserve on the nearby river delta of la Tordera, the site is between Malgrat and Blanes. At present there are about 100 touring pitches, all with electricity (10A), and 40 of which are fully serviced. They are either close to the beach in an open area, or in a new section with 40 larger serviced pitches. There are many more under the trees scattered among the seasonal pitches which dominate this site and give it a very Spanish feel. Note: access to any pitch other than the new serviced pitches can be difficult, with narrow roads and high kerbs; staff will assist. There is a pleasant swimming pool (due to be upgraded to a complex with three pools and a flume), a reasonably well stocked supermarket and a bar/restaurant with covered terrace.
The site is lively in peak season with a varied programme of entertainment and activities for all ages. Nearby Blanes is a popular resort with fine beaches. There are also some steep rocky cliffs and surprisingly quiet little coves. La Tordera is located to the north of Malgrat de Mar, an older town dating back to the 13th century. It is well worth visiting for its varied beaches, its shops, bars and restaurants, its interesting old market and some fine architecture, including the church of Sant Nicolau. Days out could include trips to Barcelona or Girona.
