La Presqu’île sits on a peninsula overlooking the Etang de Leucate, behind the resort of Port Barcarès. It is set in a pinewood, some 2 km. from the beaches and the port. The site is split in two with 163 pitches (23 for touring with 6A electricity) irregularly arranged under the pine trees and 118 mobile homes and chalets for hire. Some are very large and marked with flowering shrubs, others are smaller and used for tents, all mixed in amongst a range of mobile homes and chalets, many for hire. Amenities include a large pool and an impressive toboggan and are all situated across the road overlooking the Etang. Nearby clubs offer the chance to try watersports including paragliding, jetsurfing or just windsurfing.
The site is a paradise for the young at heart. With water on three sides and 8 km. of beaches just 2 km. away, it is no wonder that watersports are popular. However, the history and culture of the area with its vineyards and nearby mountains also contribute to making it a popular destination.

Large, heated outdoor swimming pool (200 sq.m) with toboggan and paddling pool (all season). Tennis. Multisport court. Gym. Amusements. TV. Inflatable castle. Bicycle hire. Fishing. Play area. Sporting activities, children’s club and evening entertainment (July/Aug). Charcoal barbecues are not permitted. WiFi throughout (charged).
Location
From the A9 take exit 40 signed Leucate. Follow D627 then D83 for Le Barcarès and Port area. Take exit 11 and follow site signs.
