Alan Rogers Review
Camping la Bella Vista is a very modern campsite that uses sustainable technology. It enjoys a beach front location in San Luis de Sabanillas, a suburb of Manilva, situated in the nearby hills. The beaches are extensive with clean sand, and the site boasts uninterrupted views of the sea. The pitches have water, waste, electricity (16/32A), TV and WiFi connections, and are bounded by developing trees and hedges, which as yet provide little shade or privacy. The coastline’s eight kilometres of sandy beaches have reefs and coves to explore in addition to two urban areas offering varied entertainment.
The Costa del Sol enjoys 320 days of sunshine each year with an annual average temperature of 18 degrees. Manilva’s history dates from the Stone Age. During the Roman period it had a thriving fishing industry, exporting products back to Rome; well preserved Roman sulphur baths and an aqueduct can be seen in the area. The main industries of the area have been fishing, agriculture and viticulture. The wine industry is currently thriving within the village and guided tours of the vineyards and wine production process are available.
