Alan Rogers Review

Camping la Barge is a small rural site situated on the edge of a lake. It has 29 grassy touring pitches, each with 10A electricity connection. There are also chalets (on a nearby site) and yurts for hire. The site is well placed to explore the Auvergne countryside, the extinct volcanoes and the many attractive old towns and villages. Also, do take time to visit Parc des Vulcans and the Vulcania exhibition. Located on the outskirts of Lyon, near Vichy, Livradois Auvergne is one of the largest regional natural parks in France. It is a place of scenic beauty and diverse natural environments, criss-crossed by thousands of miles of trails.

The village of Cunlhat (pronounced ‘cun-ya’) welcomes nature lovers, botanists, walkers and those who simply wish to immerse themselves in the area’s rich and fascinating heritage.
