Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Balma
Set high in the forest and mountains near the Parc Natural Montseny and only a kilometre from the lovely village of Espinelves, this small site has 85 natural pitches for touring units on grass and bare earth. They are of varying size, not numbered or marked out, with 5A electricity available. The touring pitches are mixed together with a number of seasonal pitches (which look pretty permanent). The site is open all year, although only at weekends in low season. The site gates are closed at 21.00 with no security overnight (a telephone is provided for emergencies). Site roads are not surfaced and are steep, particularly near reception). It may be best to park lower down and walk up to reception.
Camping la Balma has lovely views, mountain walks and mountain roads. The site is ideal for cyclists. The picturesque village of Espinelves with its XI-XII century Romanesque church, is 1 km. Vic, the capital of the county of Osona, with markets twice a week is only 20 km. away.
Facilities at Camping la Balma
One small toilet block includes accessible facilities. Washing machine. Very small shop and bar in reception. Swimming pool (72 sq.m; July/Aug). Play areas scattered around (some in need of repair). Multisports area needs attention. Games room. Communal barbecues. Free WiFi.

From the C25 take exit 202 (Viladrau, Espinelves, Col de Revell). Follow signs to Espinelves and 1 km. from the village find yellow signs to site on the right.
