Alan Rogers Review
A site for Italian families on the Adriatic coast, this site has a tropical atmosphere. It appears that some have been coming here for years and have developed imaginative ‘homes away from home’ using all the available space for their comforts. The 320 pitches (6A electricity) are flat, reasonably sized and many are with shade, water and drainage. There is lively entertainment at night and music during the day and the site is generally buzzing with activity, the centre being under the palms near the huge pool, sun deck and bar. About a quarter of the area is devoted to mainly older style cabins and mobile homes.
There is easy access to the long inviting sandy beach at the front of the site, which is brimming with happy Italians enjoying their holiday. Many of the site’s facilities are shared by the smaller sister site, Camping Baviera, which is very close by.
Three sanitary blocks have a mixture of adequate facilities although it will be busy at peak periods for showering. Units for disabled campers are in one. Laundry facilities. Supermarket. Bar. Self-service restaurant. Snack bar. Pizzeria. Very good, large swimming pool. Large play area. Tennis. Ambitious entertainment. Disco. Beach club and bar. Dogs not accepted 7/7-17/8.

Leave E14 north of Pescara and take SS80 to Giulianova Lido. Follow site signs. Providing you follow the signs, to end up north of the town, you will find the bridge with a 3.6 m. clearance. All other bridges have ‘car only’ clearances. Site is 400 m. on left after bridge.
