Greatly improved over recent years, Camping Fischerhaus is just meters from the shore of Lake Constance. With a waterside restaurant and café/bar with a terrace, guests can relax whilst watching the yachts on the lake. Adjacent, and free to campers, is a superb swimming pool and sports complex. The site has 150 touring pitches, all with 10A electricity and 24 also with water and drainage. These are mainly on grass, with some long hardstandings for larger outfits, and are separate from the seasonal units. A new toilet block serves the touring area, with full sanitary facilities near reception.

The interesting town of Kreuzlingen, with many seasonal activities and events, is a short walk away along the banks of the lake, past a marina and birdwatching area. From the town, visitors can board one of the Rhein cruisers and take simple trips round the lake or as far as Schaffhausen.

An aerial tour in the Goodyear airship, operating from the German side of the lake, is also possible but expensive. At reception plenty of leaflets provide details of places to visit and things to see here.

Facilities

The main toilet block, near reception, has WCs, showers and facilities for disabled visitors. The second block, near the area used by touring units, just has WCs. Motorhome services. Washing machines and dryer. Small shop for basics. Hot and cold snacks available from reception. Restaurant and bar overlooking lake. Sitting/breakfast room with Internet corner and TV. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. New playground. Fishing. Pedalo hire. Communal barbecue areas. Free WiFi throughout. Dogs are not accepted.

Location

Site is at the east side of Kreuzlingen on the banks of Lake Constance (Bodensee). It is well signed from all directions as is the adjoining swimming pool.
