Alan Rogers Review
This site enjoys a pleasant rural setting, just a stone’s throw from the 22-hectare Lac de Bannec. Leisure activities here include a tree-top activity park (charge applicable), with a zip wire across the lake! There are 50 standard pitches and a further 16 luxury pitches (with electricity, water and drainage). Additionally, there are a number of mobile homes available to rent. Other on-site amenities include a swimming pool (with separate padding pool) and a woodland minigolf course. The site’s cosy restaurant specialises in local cuisine.
Lac de Bannec can be found to the west of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and is very well located for exploring the region. A number of long-distance footpaths run close to the site, and an attractive path leads around the lake (about 90 minutes). Mountain biking is also very popular. Further afield, popular visits include the 13th-century fortress at Najac, or the delightful medieval villages of Cordes-sur-Ciel, Saint Cirq-Lapopie and Cajarc.
