Situated just east of the Nantes ring road, Camping du Chêne would make an ideal night halt. However, it would be a pity to push on as a very pleasant few days could be spent here. With the Loire river to the north and the Loire valley wine route to the south, there is no shortage of places to visit. The owners, Magali and Bruno, are keen to attract more British and Dutch visitors and are working hard to make improvements to their site. There are about 100 level, grassy pitches, 67 for touring and tents, 55 with 10A electricity. The remainder are used for the 29 mobile homes and four canvas bungalows.
Camping du Chêne is part of an immaculate public park, with a lake which some pitches overlook. There are many sports facilities within the park including fishing, sailing, pedalo hire and tennis courts. At busy times there is a bar and snack bar, with outdoor seating overlooking the lake.
