Fromengal is a good quality site in the Périgord Noir. Set in over 22 acres, it was formerly an ancient farm and now offers a relaxed family atmosphere amid a calm, tranquil and natural setting. There is abundant vegetation. The pitches are of a good size, separated by shrubs and hedging with a mixture of sunshine and shade. There are 93 pitches, 37 for touring units, all with 6A Europlug (ten also with water and drainage). The remaining pitches are used for chalets and mobile homes to rent. There is a good range of new amenities, notably a fine heated swimming pool and a restaurant built in the local style and serving food from the area. During the peak season there is an entertainment and activity programme.
Activities for children include creative workshops, games and quad biking. There are evening swimming sessions and family barbecues. Charges are made for tennis, archery and quad bikes. Access to and round the site is good and large units are accepted. Fromengal is well located for many of the Dordogne’s best known sights and is close to Le Buisson de Cadouin, a beautiful village with all services and a railway station.
