Alan Rogers Review
The Ionian island of Corfu is known by most as a popular tourist destination but perhaps not considered by many for camping. The hourly ferry from Igoumenitsa takes 90 minutes to cross to Kerkyra. Many ferries from Italian ports now stop here en-route to either Igoumenitsa or Patras, so it is possible to break your journey to mainland Greece. The north of the island now has some good campsites and Dionysus is amongst them, with its 107 pitches of which 30 are suitable for caravans and motorhomes. The site, south of Dassia, slightly slopes and has been terraced in part to provide grassy pitches under old olive trees, which offer some shade.
Of course, almost every sporting activity and leisure pursuit can be found on the island and the necessary bookings can be made in reception.

Directions
Most people will arrive in Corfu on one of the many ferries from either Igoumenitsa or one of the Italian ports. So, from the ferry terminal turn right initially signed Paleokastritsa. After 8 km. turn right at traffic lights signed Dassia. Site is on the right after 1 km.
