Greece, South, Attica, Nea Kifissia
Alan Rogers Review
Many visitors to Greece will want to spend some time in Athens, the capital. Camping Nea Kifissia offers one of the best opportunities to do that, being in a quiet location with easy access. A small site, run personally by the Komianidou family, there are 66 level pitches, some with shade, in well kept grounds. A regular bus service runs to the Kifissia metro station for fast and regular transport to all the sights. The Acropolis, Parthenon and the Porch of Caryatids are essential viewing, as are the many museums. Athens’ shops and the flea market near Monastiraki also have much to offer.
Others will not want to miss the famous Greek National Guards, complete with Kilt, hairy tights and pom-pom clogs who mount the guard in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Plateia Syntagmatos.
A centrally positioned toilet block includes showers, WCs and washbasins. Washing machine. Bar and coffee shop (1/6-15/9). Swimming pool (1/6-15/9). WiFi over site (free). Communal barbecue area. English spoken in reception.
From Athens-Thessaloniki motorway travelling north take Kifissa exit. At roundabout, site is signed. Under motorway, straight ahead site is again signed to right. Travelling south, just before Mercedes garage, turn right and immediately right again. Follow camping signs.Link to campsite location map on google
