On the edge of the sand dunes near the village of Lesconil, this campsite has the great advantage of providing direct access to an excellent sandy beach. The 150 sandy and grassy pitches have little shade, but are quite spacious and all have electricity (10A). The site is only 800 m. from the village of Lesconil, a delightfully unspoilt fishing port where you can still see the small fishing fleet return each day. There is a good choice of restaurants and cafés, and a Centre Nautique offering a range of watersports.
This area of Brittany with its safe sandy beaches, coves and rocky outcrops to explore certainly deserves to be popular. Guillaume, the young (third generation) owner of Des Dunes, will be pleased to suggest a day’s excursion for you. The old town and port of Pont L’Abbé is a short drive away, and there is also the seaside resort of Bénodet and a boat trip up the Odet towards Quimper. You are never far away from a small Breton village or port, all of which have weekly markets where you can buy some of the local produce.
