This site is in a rural location and great for the beach which is just across the road, 3km down the road is the town of Blanes with its shops, supermarkets and nightlife. There are 100 well-spaced pitches, these are not separated to any degree, but there are trees offering shade on most pitches; there are also a further 80 mobile homes/glamping units and tents available for rental. The site shop was well stocked, and the standard of food served in the restaurant was excellent, offering a lovely view over the modern pool complex.

Access to the site is excellent, and most European languages are spoken in reception, including English. You will receive a very warm welcome check-in is, however, after 4.00 p.m. Once on the site, you will immediately notice how clean the site is and the high standard of all the facilities and amenities.

The walled city of Gerona, known as the ‘City of Four Rivers’, is just 30 km away and well worth a visit. There is also a station in the town which will take you along the coast directly to Barcelona (60km) the journey takes around 1 hour 20 minutes. (if you are looking for a family to join you on holiday, this train also links to Barcelona Airport).

Two clean sanitary blocks have showers in large cubicles, open style washbasins and controllable hot water with accessible facilities. Laundry room with washing machines. Small shop and bakery. Bar with TV. Restaurant with varied menu. Games room. Swimming pool with safe separate children’s pool. Multisports area. Table Tennis. Large play area. Minigolf. Children’s club and entertainment (July/Aug). Fishing. ATM. Communal barbecue. Bicycle hire. Internet. WiFi over site (charged). Car wash.

Directions to Camping del Mar

Malgrat de Mar is south of Blanes. From Blanes take GI682. Do NOT go into Malgrat de Mar town (one way system and low bridge 2.5m). Take BV6001, Av. De la Costa Brava instead. At roundabout to north of town follow yellow Campings sign to beach. Turn right and site is second on right.
