Alan Rogers Review
De Veluwse Wagen is attractively landscaped with different sorts of trees and bushes. This small, car-free site is behind a pancake restaurant of the same name. It has immaculately kept pitches on four level, grassy fields, taking 25 touring units in total. Electricity is available to all and the numbered pitches are level and with some hardstanding. With access from gravel roads, the camping areas are separated by mature trees on two fields which give shade to some pitches. The remainder of the site is occupied by privately owned mobile homes. De Veluwse Wagen is in beautiful natural surroundings, near the Royal woodland and hunting grounds, the Vierhouterbos and the Gortel moors.
These areas offer numerous opportunities for walking and cycling. You could also visit the IJsselvallei with its wide views (the site has several routes available) and only ten minutes away by bicycle is the Kievitsveld, a recreation area with a lake and sandy beaches.
The single toilet block is behind the restaurant with toilets, open style washbasins and controllable, hot showers (4 minutes free hot water). Washing machines and dryers. Bar/restaurant with small terrace. Playing field. Riding. Bicycle hire. Boules. Animal farm. Some play equipment next to restaurant. WiFi over site (charged). No cars allowed on site.
