Stretching alongside the Ill river in urban Colmar, this site has 150 unseparated pitches, 120 for touring, arranged on terraces. Due to the danger of flooding on the lowest terrace during the winter months, this part of the site is closed during that period. Despite some noise from the A35 motorway, this is a pleasant, well maintained setting with some shade from mature trees. All pitches have 10A electricity connections (Europlug, some pitches require long leads). The reception is comfortable and welcoming with English spoken. Rental accommodation includes wood and canvas tents and wooden lodges. A supplement is payable for twin-axle caravans.
There is a bus stop at the site entrance for buses into the town and many shops in the surrounding area. There is plenty going on in Colmar, which can be reached on foot or along the cycle path. Excursions are possible to local wineries, both for tasting and eating, sometimes at the winery’s own restaurant.
