L’Hermitage is a pretty, wooded site set in the Vallée du Don and would be useful for en-route stops or for longer stays. The enthusiastic staff, even though their English is a little limited, provide a warm welcome and maintain this reasonably priced site to a good standard. There are 101 pitches of which 55 are a good size for touring and camping. Some are formally arranged on open, level grass pitches, whereas others are informal amongst light woodland. Electricity (6A) is available to all (a long lead may be useful). A further 29 pitches are taken by mobile homes, most of which are to rent.
Both Nantes and Rennes are 30 minutes away, La Baule with its beaches is 40 minutes. The attractive small town of Guémené-Penfao set on the Rover Don is very typical with its cafés, bars and restaurants, and is a pleasant ten minutes away. The town also has basic shopping facilities. The site is adjacent to the lycée and public sports area, with suburban houses surrounding it. In addition to mobile homes, a gîte can be rented.
