De La Vallée is situated in a rural location, in the area known as the Terre des Deux Caps (land of the two headlands). The ground is slightly sloping so levelling blocks may be necessary, but the 101 pitches (30 for touring) are mostly individual and hedged, and all have 6A electricity hook-ups. Most have lovely views of the valley and surrounding countryside. Reception shares space with the attractive bar/café that fronts the campsite and serves a good selection of meals and snacks. A recent change of ownership should see improvements to the site.
The surrounding area has several magnificent beaches, 400 hectares of conservation area, and is a crossroads for more than 300 species of migrating birds. The site is also within walking distance of Hervelinghen village centre and within a short drive of both Calais and Boulogne and their shopping opportunities and ferry ports.
