Alan Rogers Review
De Bovenberg is a quiet site in the heart of the Twente region, at the foot of the Friezenberg and de Apenberg. This green site has 50 spacious (150 sq.m) comfort pitches with electricity, water and drainage. They are mostly separated by tall trees and hedges. On a separate field there are also standard pitches with electricity (100 sq.m) separated by hedges. Facilities include a natural lake for swimming, with a beach and sunbathing area, and various play areas for children around the site. The reception also provides sandwiches, hot snacks and tourist information, including Nordic walking tours and the hiking network across the Twente.
Twente is a very hilly and varied area with many marked trails for walking and cycling. You can spend the day exploring medieval villages, canoeing or riding. The site owners are more than happy to offer advice and tourist information on the local area.
