De Berenweide is uniquely located in a very quiet area on the edge of a dunes reserve. The 40 pitches divided over five grassy fields are only for tents and are very spacious. Visitors can pick their own place on one of the fields. Cars have to be parked outside the camping areas. There are some yurts (Mongolian tents), army style tents and, for the 2015 season, log cabins available to rent. This site is ideal for campers looking for tranquillity and for nature lovers. However, children will also have fun on a huge play field. There are direct connections to a large network of walking and cycling paths. Pets are not accepted.
This is a site for nature lovers and has few amenities. Most pitches are even without electricity. The owners are really committed to sustainable tourism. Close to the site are many opportunities for walking and cycling through the green surroundings, and the sandy dunes and North Sea beaches also are just a few kilometres away. People interested in ‘back to basics’ camping will feel at home on this peaceful site.
