Alan Rogers Review
A 1936 Art Deco style building houses the reception, bar, restaurant and games room, complete with terrace overlooking the River L’Isle. This site has 56 touring pitches, hedged and shaded by mature trees, all with electricity (5/10A) and eight are fully serviced. The entrance and access roads are narrow (larger units take great care). The ground may be rather firm for tent pegs and it occasionally floods in winter. The only site in Périgueux itself, Barnabé is a memorable site in a unique setting. The bar has its own Wurlitzer juke box and you will find pool tables, pinball and table football in the old ballroom.
Six sanitary buildings around the site (one on the far side of the river). Not modern, but functional, simple and clean with spacious shower cubicles. Unisex facilities, with both British and Turkish style toilets. One heated block is open in winter. Facilities for disabled visitors. Bar and restaurant. Games room. Minigolf.

Approaching from the east of Périgueux on the N221, at roundabout with N2089, take exit for Périgueux ‘centre ville’. After 3 km. turn right at traffic lights at town boundary. Site well signed.
