Alan Rogers Review

The hamlet of Cottessen can be found at the end of a pretty country lane. This modern, comfortable site is surrounded by half-timbered houses, streams and forests. The heart of the site is the 17th-century farm, preserved in its original state. The atmosphere at this family site is friendly and welcoming. There are 180 good sized touring pitches, set against the hills of the Geul valley, all with electricity (6/10A Europlug) water and waste water. A number of apartments are available for rent throughout the year. Leisure amenities include a large swimming pool and separate paddling pool, and a large sports field.

Cottessen is part of the Heuvelland (Hills Country), a striking natural area of hills stretching into Belgium, in the far south of Limburg, with gently shelving valleys, green hills, cool streams and wide views. The site supermarket is well stocked, and the convivial snack bar provides chips, snacks and pizzas to take away, or you can relax on the cafeteria’s terrace.

Heated toilet block with some washbasins in cabins. Baby room. Washing machine. Motorcaravan services. Supermarket. Café. Snack bar. Takeaway. Heated swimming and paddling pools (1/5-15/9). Volleyball. Football. Basketball. Play area. The recreation team regularly organises sporting activities, hiking tours and competitions. WiFi (charged).
