Alan Rogers Review
Lido di Dante is not a major tourist resort and is therefore more peaceful than many locations along Italy’s eastern coastline. At Camping Classe a variety of well spaced trees offer shade over 430 good sized flat grass pitches each with 4A electricity. Part of the site (2.5 ha) is screened devoting 225 places for those that enjoy naturism (electricity only 2A). This area has a sanitary block and a small bar. Naturists must dress to visit any other part of the site or when walking to the sandy beach. Italy does not have any official naturist beaches although this particular section of the coast is recognised as being such.
Having walked through the nature reserve, those that prefer to remain clothed should walk to the left while those that enjoy nude sunbathing walk in the opposite direction (naturists require an INF card and no singles allowed). Between the site and the shoreline (200 m) a large, delightful natural area provides a habitat for many species of birds and other wildlife.
Sanitary facilities in six blocks are adequate and generally clean. Toilets are a mix of British and Turkish style. Baby bath. One small block is reserved for disabled visitors. Washing machine. Shop. Bar. Restaurant. Takeaway. Swimming pool (bathing hats required). Minigolf. Tennis. Gym. Fitness programmes and sporting competitions. Fitness trail. Play areas. High season entertainment programme for adults and children. WiFi.
