This spacious site is in the grounds of an 18th-century château, close to the magnificent hill village of Montmeyan. Many of the terraced pitches, mostly behind the château, have magnificent views. The 80 large touring pitches are part grassy, part stony with varying amounts of shade from mature trees, all have electricity points and most have water nearby, although there may be reduced pressure on higher pitches. Access to the higher terraces of the site is very steep and may cause problems for some. The owner will assist with his 4x4 vehicle any visitor experiencing difficulty in siting their unit. This is a quieter site for those seeking the real France.
The swimming pool, bar, restaurant which are in front of the château, have exceptional views over the valley and mountains beyond. A wealth of tourist information is available at reception and Mme Verscheure is very helpful and speaks good English.
