Alan Rogers Review
Santa Barbara is a small, uncomplicated campsite in Corsica’s mountainous interior. Originally established as a restaurant/bar, the campsite has 25 level touring pitches and ten mobile holiday homes. The pitches are separated by young shrubs with electricity (12A). A small, inviting swimming pool, alongside the pretty restaurant terrace, is very welcome in this hot terrain and there are impressive mountain views. The area outside the bar and restaurant has several functions. There is a quiet inside area which is good for cooling off and relaxing. There is some noise from the nearby road, runway and micro lights.
Corte, the historical capital of the island, stands at 396 m. altitude in the central mountains where you can experience Corsica of old. The owners of the site are very friendly and helpful and you will have the opportunity to practice your French here. A simple site with limited facilities but one where you will feel at home if you enjoy the French/Corsican way of life. Little English is spoken.
Three toilet blocks with hot showers (unisex when seen). Washing machine. Restaurant/bar offers typical menu and snacks. Swimming pool. Basic play area. Pool table. Fishing. Riding. WiFi.
