Alan Rogers Review
Moulin des Iscles is a small, pretty site beside the Argens river with access in places for fishing, canoeing and swimming, with some sought after pitches overlooking the river. The 80 grassy, level pitches have water and 6A electricity. A nice mixture of deciduous trees provides natural shade and colour and the old mill house is near the entrance, which has the security barrier closed at night. This is a quiet site with little on-site entertainment, but with a pleasant restaurant. Visitors with disabilities are made very welcome. Unusually for this area, this is a real campsite, not a camping village.
A haven of peace and tranquillity, Moulin des Iscles is hidden 500 m. down a private road and is based around a former mill. The pitches radiate out from M. Dumarcet’s attractive, centrally situated home which is where the restaurant and shop are situated. Excursions organised by local Tourist Office during the high season include rock climbing, visits to châteaux and olive oil mills. The small town of Roquebrune-sur-Argens is close by and has a good selection of shops and restaurants.
Fully equipped toilet block, ramped access for disabled visitors. Some Turkish style toilets. Washbasins have hot water. Baby facilities. Washing machine. Restaurant, home cooked dish-of-the-day, well stocked shop, bar and takeaway (7/4-26/9). Library with some English books. TV, table tennis. Play area, minigolf, badminton, boules all outside the barrier. Internet terminal and WiFi throughout (charged). Canoeing possible.
