Alan Rogers Review
Located in the heart of the Aure valley, adjacent to a fast-flowing unfenced river, and with views to the surrounding mountains and countryside, Le Rioumajou is a good base from which to explore this part of the Hautes-Pyrénées. There are 192 pitches with around 122 pitches for touring units. They are generally separated, varying in size, some shady and some more open, all with electricity (2/10A) and ten are all-weather pitches. A good cycle track runs alongside the main road in both directions from the site and one can walk to the town along the river bank.
Nearby is the Réserve Naturel du Néouvielle National Park, and the Spanish border via the Aragnouet-Bielsa tunnel, and the tourist village of Saint-Lary Soulan is 2 km. There is a mix of rental and private caravans and Bengali tents (55).
Three attractive, fairly modern toilet blocks (only one open and heated in low season) with some spacious twin units. Large drying room. Children’s room. Facilities for disabled visitors. Small shop, bar/takeaway (21/6-28/9). Outdoor heated swimming pool (13/6-20/9). Sauna, Jacuzzi. Adventure-style playground. TV room. Communal barbecue. Entertainment (July/Aug).

From Lannemezan take the D929 south, pass through Arreau, and continue for 10 km. After passing through Guchen and Guchan, site is on right before Bourisp.
