Alan Rogers Review
Set in the Rhône Valley, a virtually unspoilt area rich in history, this family owned site has 116 pitches and open-air swimming and paddling pools. The pitches all have 6A electricity and vary in size from 100-150 sq.m. and are clearly marked by hedges or bushes. Many mature trees give excellent shelter and shade. Larger units should phone ahead as some of the pitches are not easily accessed, although there are some very large places available. This is a quiet country site, simple but relaxing and close to the attractions of the area.
There is an activities hall for young teens, and rubber surfaced play areas, paddling pools and minigolf for the youngest family members. Le Daxia is Ideal as a centre for exploring the traditional villages in stunning mountain settings, to discover the wildlife and to enjoy the wonderfully clean air.
Two unisex toilet blocks are both tiled and clean. Some Turkish style WCs. Facilities for babies and for disabled visitors. Launderette. Motorcaravan services. Good takeaway (weekends only outside July/Aug). Ice supplies. Excellent large swimming pool with slide and adjacent paddling pool. Minigolf. Barbecue area.
