Alan Rogers Review
Gavina is an attractive, modern, friendly site with superb access to a fine sand beach. It is the sister site to Camping Tamarit (no. ES84830). There are 400 pitches (60 sq.m), of which 220 have electricity (6A). Set on flat grass and sand, some are separated by tall hedges which provide shade. There is a small tour operator presence. One side of the site, with large pitches for motorcaravans, is open to the 400 m. beach over a very low wall. This is excellent for keen windsurfers and a range of watersports including sailing and water skiing. This beach access does, however, have obvious security implications.
The attractive restaurant/bar has a large terrace overlooking the sea and entertainment is arranged in high season – it is great to watch the sunsets here.
Two good quality, tiled sanitary buildings have free hot water to showers and some washbasins. In one block, showers have no dividers. A new room for babies and a unit for disabled campers are in one block. Laundry facilities. Bar/restaurant. Well stocked supermarket. Play area. Tennis. Sports area. Exchange facilities. Safe deposit boxes.
