Alan Rogers Review
Le Pujol is an attractive, well cared for site. There are various noisy open-air discos and activities in the area until the early hours. Pujol may be the best chance of avoiding the hectic seaside sites in otherwise attractive Argelès. There are 312 very large flat, grassy pitches, most with electricity (6A). The site’s pride and joy is a delightful pool complex with semi-tropical shrubs and fountains. The bar is for the family, not overrun by youngsters. They are catered for in a covered meeting area opposite. There is some road noise near the entrance to the site.
The site is very close to an interesting fortress and only 2 km. from the fast N114, and the pretty ports of Collioure and Port-Vendres are a short distance to the south. Argelès is a busy tourist area and in high season it doesn’t matter which of the 50 or so sites you are on. They are some 90 privately owned British mobile homes and ten site owned for letting.
Five well kept fully equipped toilet blocks (some pitches with private facilities). Baby bath. Washing machines. Small supermarket (1/6-15/9). Good restaurant, friendly family bar (1/6-15/9). Large L-shaped swimming pool, children’s pool, spa pool (1/6-15/9, lifeguard July/Aug). Small multi-gym. Boules. Minigolf. Playground. Games room. Miniclub (4-12 yrs). Multisports pitch. Evening entertainment. Shuttle bus to beach and town (July/Aug). Gas or electric barbecues only.
