Alan Rogers Review

The location of this site is splendid, well above and overlooking the Rhine valley and the town of Lahnstein – many of the pitches have their own super views. It consists partly of terraces and partly of open grassy areas, has a cared for look and all is very neat and tidy. One can usually find a space here, though from early July to mid-August it can become full. There are 80 individual touring pitches marked but not separated and mostly level, all with electricity (16A). Campers are sited by the site owner. The reception here is friendly and charges reasonable.

Adjacent, with reduced prices for campers, is a good outdoor swimming pool with extensive grassy areas, and the medieval castle Burg Lahneck (the family home of the camp proprietor, which may be visited) with its smart restaurant. Very popular with British visitors, this site is in the best part of the Rhine valley, and close to Koblenz and the Mosel.

Facilities

The single central, heated toilet block is of a good standard and very well maintained. There are some cabins for both sexes. Showers are on payment. Washing machine and dryer. Restaurant with terrace. Motorcaravan services. Gas supplies. Small shop. Small playground.
