Alan Rogers Review
This peaceful site lies on flat ground with walls surrounding most of its spacious area. Some exotic palms and fruit trees offer a little shade but some pitches are available with artificial shade on frames. The 100 average sized touring pitches are clean, well marked and, unusually for Sicily, have a lush covering of grass. All pitches have 4A electricity. The restaurant adjoining the site has a wood-fired oven producing tasty pizzas. On arrival, watch out for speed bumps on the approach road. The sliding security gate has an inconspicuous communications box on the left portal for late arrivals and ensures instant communications through the modern reception room.
There is much to do in the local area – ask for help at reception, where English is spoken. Visit local wine producers and have tastings or explore the archaeological voices from the past, both above and below ground.
The fully equipped central sanitary block can be heated (showers have curtains but no doors). Facilities could be under pressure in peak periods. Facilities for disabled campers. Laundry facilities. Shop with essentials only (15/6-31/8). Restaurant/bar. Floodlit football, boules and tennis courts. Standby generator as electricity supplies can be unreliable. Torches useful. Barbecues are not permitted.

Petrosino is between Marsala and Mazara del Vallo in the southwest corner of Sicily. Take SS115 and exit at Petrosino. Follow beach road out of town and camping signs to the shore, then left along coast for 800 m.
