Camping Bardenas (sometimes signed as Camping Villafranca) is in Navarra, midway between Bilbao and Zaragoza. This site may prove useful as an en route stop, given its relative proximity to the AP68 and AP15 motorways, but it also merits longer stays. This is a new site and shade is limited at present. The 38 touring pitches are of a good size and all have electrical connections. A number of mobile homes are available for rent. On-site amenities include a swimming pool and a gym. Occasional excursions are organised to nearby vineyards, along with various other activities in peak season.

The site is close to the Bardenas Reales de Navarra Natural Park. This is an immense, semi-desert landscape, sprawling across southern Navarra and encompassing no fewer than three nature reserves. The park is best explored on foot or mountain bike, and riding is also popular. The city of Tudela lies to the south of the park, on the Ebro River, and is the second largest city in Navarra, and home to a fine 12th century cathedral.

One toilet block with excellent facilities is kept spotlessly clean. Large room for disabled visitors. Washing machine. Motorcaravan services. Shop (April-Nov). Restaurant, bar and takeaway. Outdoor swimming pool (15/6-15/9). Play area. Games room. TV in bar. Small gym. Mobile homes for rent. Communal barbecue area. Free WiFi throughout.

The site is south of Villafranca. Approaching from Zaragoza on AP-15, leave at the Villafranca and Cadreita exit. Bypass Cadreita and head for Villafranca on NA-660. Shortly before reaching the town you will pass the site on your left, continue to next roundabout and perform a U-turn in order to gain site access.
